Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Treatment Information.

- Tendonitis -

  • Symptoms: Pain and tenderness along the tendon, usually in proximity to a joint (shoulder pain, elbow pain, wrist pain, or pain in other joints). The result is swelling, tenderness, pain, heat, and redness if it is close to the skin. Pain is worse with movement or activity and may increase at night.
  • Cause of Symptoms: Sudden trauma, overstretching or repeated overuse injures the connective points between the tendon and its bone (tenoperiosteal junction) or the tendon and the muscle (muscluloskeletal junction). The injury is largely mechanical, but when it appears, the body tries to heal it by initiating inflammation of the tendon. Inflammation increases the blood supply, bringing nutrients to the damaged tissues.
  • Treatment of Symptoms: FLEXTEND® may increase circulation to rebuild/regenerate affected areas, and strengthen the musculotendinous and tenoperosteal junctions of the damaged tendon(s), making them much stronger in order to help reduce symptoms and possibly prevent re-injury from direct trauma or overuse.
