Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Treatment Information.

- Thoracic Outlet Syndrome -
(Brachial Plexus Compressed between Upper Pectoral and Clavicle)

  • Symptoms: Pain and discomfort on the front side of the shoulder; numbness, tingling and paresthesia affecting the entire hand.
  • Cause of Symptoms: Impingement of the Brachial Plexus on the between the clavicle and upper pectoral muscle, often caused by compressive upper pectoral muscles and tight, restrictive scalene muscles located on the anterior and lateral portion of the cervical spine.
  • Treatment of Symptoms: FLEXTEND®-AC may help reduce compression of the Brachial Plexus by stretching the overly tight, compressive pectoral and scalene muscles in the upper chest, and by strengthening the posterior shoulder and back muscles in order to pull the shoulder backward, aligning the shoulder joint and decompressing the Brachial Plexus. The gentle stretching and strengthening exercises of FLEXTEND® can help maintain the length of the pectoral and scalene muscles and the strength of the posterior shoulder and back muscles.
